Late last year Knauf Australia announced that the Knauf Group had accepted an offer from Etex to purchase the plasterboard business of Knauf in Australia.
The transaction of the Knauf business in Australia by the Etex Group has completed and the post-merger integration and rebranding work is progressing well.
“My colleagues at Etex are as excited about the acquisition as I am, and we are very impressed by what we have seen thus far,” said Neil Ash, Head: Etex Building Performance, adding that he wishes to visit Australia as soon as the current travel restrictions ease.
Knauf Australia’s metal and plasterboard business in Australia is now part of the Etex Group, and the name of the company has officially changed from Knauf Australia Pty Ltd to Etex Australia Pty Ltd. The brand under which the plasterboard and metal business will operate in Australia will be Siniat, but the business will continue to operate under the Knauf Australia brand until all rebranding activities have been completed.
“It is a very exciting time for us,” said Knauf Australia MD Gavin Burton. “We are all working hard to complete the rebranding and we can’t wait to tell the market more about Siniat.”
“There will be no changes to the current arrangements of how we do business. The existing management team will remain in place, and customers will continue to receive the same quality service and products from the same business representatives.
“As always, we will continue to serve our customers with only the best service and products,” he said.
More information about the new brand, exciting alternatives to specialty products and new products not yet available in the Australian market will be announced over the course of the next three to twelve months.
“We’ll keep everyone updated, but if you have any questions in the meantime, please talk to your Knauf representative or contact us online,” Gavin said.
