Entries have opened for the Sustainability Awards, and Knauf Australia is proudly supporting the Women in Sustainability category again this year.
The Sustainability Awards celebrates Australia’s most progressive buildings, spaces, people and building products that demonstrate real efforts to reduce the environmental footprint of our built environment.
The Sustainability Awards is now in its 14th year, and this year there will be 16 categories. The Women in Sustainability category was launched in 2019, and Natasha Mulcahy (Sekisui House Australia) was announced the inaugural winner. Natasha is pictured above (right in the photo) together with Knauf’s National Architectural Manager Nazli Almasirad.
“We received really good feedback after sponsoring this category last year, and it was an easy decision for us to do so again this year,” said Knauf Marketing Manager Stephanie Olsen.
“This category is a marriage of two issues that are very close to our heart: sustainable building solutions and design, and the many talented women working in the industry.
“We have a strong female presence at Knauf and there are many women working in sustainability in the industry as a whole. Our sponsorship of this category is a way to honour them, and to encourage more women to consider sustainable construction and design as a career path.”
The winners in all categories will be announced on 12 November 2020 in Plaza Ballroom in Melbourne. It will be the first time that Melbourne will play host to this prestigious event.
Knauf will also be involved in the day event, the Sustainability Summit. Knauf Australia’s National WHS and Sustainability Manager Kathryn Walker will be a session panelist on the topic “Planning for a carbon zero / carbon positive future”.
For more information about the event, or to enter before the 24 July 2020 deadline, go to the Sustainability Awards website.
