Employees at Knauf Australia are about to become fitter, healthier and happier!
As part of the Knauf Health and Wellbeing Program, employees will be able to participate in the Virgin Pulse Global Challenge this year, scheduled to start on 4 September 2019.
The Global Challenge is a holistic health and wellbeing platform for employees. It takes place over 100 days and teams from all over the world will participate in the event. Watch the video here.
Employees start the journey by tracking their daily activity, working towards 10,000+ steps each day. All activity counts, whether it’s yoga or kitesurfing!
Participants take part in teams of 7, and the program is designed for all employees, regardless of geography, age, job profile or level of health. The Global Challenge is open to all employees of Knauf Australia, regardless of their location. All teams must be registered by 20 August.
The Challenge starts with an easy self-health assessment at the beginning so that participants will have a good understanding of their current health levels and be able to measure their improvement along the way.
To measure their activity, participants will receive a Max Buzz activity tracker or use their own device (e.g. Fitibit).
The Global Challenge is a great way to shake unhealthy habits and to make important lifestyle changes. It focuses on exercise, mindfulness and nutrition.
Previous participants have reported a 54% increase in productivity, 64% observed improved morale, 65% reported weight loss and 68% were less stressed.
More information about the program will be communicated to Knauf employees over the next month.
“At Knauf we know the key to our success is taking care of our most valuable assets – ourselves! I look forward to joining you in the Global Challenge (although I can’t guarantee I’ll be doing any kitesurfing!),” said Managing Director Gavin Burton.
