Since announcing Knauf Australia’s participation in the Virgin Pulse Global Challenge a couple of weeks ago, 238 participants have made the decision to take up the challenge and do something for their health and fitness. That means 34 of 4321 teams worldwide consist of Knauf employees.
The Challenge kicks off on Wednesday 4 September 2019.
Under Knauf’s 34 teams are two international teams – one consisting of Knauf HR directors from different countries who want to try it out for possible participation in the future, and one from APAC.
“It is all about participating in learning about health,” said Knauf Australia HR Director Phil Renwick. “The take-up has been fantastic. It’s been so good to see how the Challenge has already improved employee engagement. It has certainly become a talking point and it’s clear that our employees are looking forward to some healthy competition!”
The Global Challenge is a holistic health and wellbeing platform for employees. It takes place over 100 days and teams from all over the world will participate in the event. Watch the video here.
Employees start the journey by tracking their daily activity, working towards 10,000+ steps each day. All activity counts, whether it’s yoga or kitesurfing!
The program is designed for all people, regardless of geography, age, job profile or level of health. It is a great way to shake unhealthy habits and to make important lifestyle changes. It focuses on exercise, mindfulness and nutrition.
Previous participants have reported a 54% increase in productivity, 64% observed improved morale, 65% reported weight loss and 68% were less stressed.
