Knauf Australia is looking forward to exhibiting at EduBUILD 2019 from 6-7 June.
This annual two-day event is taking place in the International Convention Centre in Sydney and is co-located with EduTECH, described as the only event in the country that brings together the entire lifecycle of education under one roof.
EduBUILD is Australia’s largest education buildings and infrastructure conference and trade show for the creation and rejuvenation of learning spaces that encourage creativity, innovation, collaboration, socialisation and health & wellbeing. Its mission is to improve the quality of teaching and learning within Australasia and APAC.
It is attended by education leaders and decision-makers involved in design, construction, renovation, maintenance, operation and management of buildings for schools, colleges and universities.
Speakers at the event include Sir Ken Robinson from the United States, named the world’s elite thinker on creativity and innovation, and Australian of the Year 2018, Dr Richard Harris – the Australian hero involved in the 2018 Thai cave dive rescue.
Knauf will make use of the opportunity to highlight the importance of indoor climate in educational settings, and acoustic comfort in particular. Research indicates that poor acoustics can lead to poor academic performance, behavioural problems, difficulty in reading and writing and teacher fatigue & burnout.
Three Knauf experts will also participate in a peer-to-peer round table at the event. National Architectural Manager Nazli Almasirad, Knauf Product Manager Lucas Grace and Digital Engineering Manager & Senior Technical Services Engineer Shailesh Koirala will share their thoughts and knowledge on the topic Class Act: Is it better to sound good or look good? Striking harmony between aesthetics and acoustic performance in a learning environment.
Acoustics will also be the focus point of Knauf’s stand at the exhibition where Knauf’s Cleaneo Up will be on display. Cleaneo Up is an out-of-the-box acoustic canopy that provides great acoustics with a constant homogeneous sound absorption characteristic. It comes prefinished in white that can easily be painted. This new retrofit solution is quick and easy to install and emphasises attractive design features.
Your chance to win Bose headphones!
Of course one can’t visit an event focused on education without taking a little test… Visitors to the Knauf stand will have the opportunity to answer five easy acoustic related questions for a chance to win a set of Bose SoundLink Around-Ear Wireless Headphones II valued at over $300.
See you there!
